400Computers commonplace now. They are almost part of the family, along with telephone, TV, etc. However, they are only as good as the OS is. Windows was the predominant operating system on the market, but Linux is rapidly gaining in connection with some interesting facts. These things I love Linux on my home computer.

1. It’s easy! Reason: You just download and burn it to CD. Then you can use it from the CD without putting it on your computer to see if you like, how it works and what it can offer.
2. This free support. Reason: help you get on Linux is second to none. There are so many ways you get help that I can not list them all here. Forums are only solve the problem for me in moments of placement issue.
3. Over twenty thousand free programs to choose from! Reason: You’ll be surprised when you find out types of software Linux, which can be downloaded for free. I replace the Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office for free! Many, many programs are standard.
4. There is a new operating system released updated approximately every 6 months. The reason: These updates are always free and always lists the differences and spoke on the forums, so you can decide whether you want to upgrade or not. Read it all..

Ubuntu is possibly one of the most popular operating systems for people starting off with Linux, and for a good reason, ease of use. Installing and using Ubuntu is simple, and is sure to break anyone’s misconceptions of how difficult it is to install Linux.

Ubuntu is a light operating system and performs well even in on Netbook making it ideal for Netbooks with lower configurations. It is available is a special netbook remix version which comes as a pen drive image instead of a CD image, since Netbooks often dont have disk drives. It is available on the ubuntu website, and can be download for free and loaded onto a pendrive of 1GB or more.
